The last of the CD's requested from me will be in Monday's mail. My
apologies to those who recently sent me their requests -- my 3D life
intruded on my 'Net stuff, and I didn't get them out in a timely
fashion.
There are two requests I am unable to fill -- I am not in a position to
send disks to Croatia or India.
As for the md5/checksum kerfuffle... if you receive a CD directly from
me, with my name and address on the mailer, you can rest assured that it
is an exact copy of the CD/iso compiled by Steven Brun and downloaded
from his ftp server using FileZilla. All the CD's were burned directly
from the .iso, not copied disk to disk. They have not been
compressed/decompressed. They are complete and malware free. And they
work.
Further requests will be honored, of course. The initial rush seems to
be over, and I hope that others will now step forward and offer to burn
and distribute. There was an occasion where another acf'er contacted me
privately and offered to assist with the burning and distribution. While
the offer was appreciated, I declined; unless given explicit permission,
I felt I could not pass on the private information I was given, no
matter how trustworthy the third party might be.
So... if you want to help, now's the time to "go public" and make the
offer.
