Hi,
I am not sure this is the right forum but,

I am in the process of upgrading my Windows 2000 AD domain to Windows Server
2003. We are currently in mixed mode with AD upgraded and 1 domain
controller running 2003.

On one of my 2000 DC:s i have a Enterprise certificate authority installed
from where certificates has been issued. My question is, how do I migrate
this CA to Windows 2003 ? I have been able to find loads of info about
Certificate services in the 2003 deployment kit and on the Internet, but
nothing about how to migrate a 2000 CA.

If anyone have done this, or have any ideas on how to do it, please let me
know

Regards

Niclas

Just upgrade in place. This is documented in the windows server 2003 help
files; it is a simple and painless process - no need to migrate. just
upgrade.

Thanks David,

Since I would like to clean install the server my CA is running on with 2003
server, I was planning to move the CA to one of my servers already running
2003 before wiping the system. Is this possible ?

Thanks for helping out

Niclas

no, you have to upgrade first. you cannot export and import a DB from win2k
to 2003 without being at 2003 first.
