Just want to upgrade to a decent printer. Would like a A3 printer but
no Canon A3 does CD/DVD printing for some strange reason. Well the
cheaper A3 printers anyways.

Just want a good relable printer. Ink carts must be refillable and NOT
CHIPED. I'am in Australia.

Also would like to do some colour prints from time to time.

Thanks.

The i9950 "DOES" do cd printing, and should be available in your
market. I don't know what you mean by cheaper a3 printers. The
ip8500 is probally less in your market by a fair bit.

I think you might mean the iX series which is totally unfamilar to me.

But you are lucky in the fact that you can still get the ip8500. It'll
share the same specifications as the replacement a3 model the pixma pro
9000 but simply a3. Well worth the price. Your only option other than
epson.

It is not adviseable to buy such a good and expensive printer and then
risk it to generic relabeled ink that will fade rapidly. Read
www.wilhelm.com for a report.

Oh my god.

Oh my GOD

OH MY GOD!!

MEASEKITE, PLEASE LISTEN TO ME:

I've told you several times, that www.wilhelm.com only shows a photo of
a dude on a mountain bike. The site you want to flog is NOT
WWW.WILHELM.COM.

Really - I mean, really: Are you mentally challenged? Korsakoff's
Syndrome maybe, from heavy drinking? Can you not even get your OWN
stuff right, eve after being corrected on three separate occasions?

Jeesus, you boggle the mind, man. ;-)

Here - do this: Grab a post-it note, and scrawl the following on it -
then stick it to your monitor:

Meditate on that for a bit - just put some Zamfir music on, or maybe
Yanni, light some sandalwood incense, and repeat the phrase... 'wilhelm
research.... wilhelm research... wilhelm research...'

Disclaimer: I've never been to that site myself, so I cant attest to
its usefulness. But I _have_ corrected measekite's posting of the site
link three times now. And he still gets it wrong.

I gotta get this guy's autograph. He cracks me up. ;-))

Well BD, you're dealing with a known brain-dead idiot (who is also a
moron), so what do you expect...well thought out intelligent responses?
Remember this guy is an oem plant or a shill or maybe just a complete
imbecile. He gives us all of those choices. He tries to present himself
as an expert on after market inks, even though he has never, ever used
any after market ink or carts. He has but one three year old printer but
is an expert on...you guessed it...absolutely nothing.
Truth is he is a ****in nut case and everyone here knows it!
Best to kill file his loser ass and be done with him.

I agree with the above. In addition, has anyone noticed he/she has
been missing from here for a couple of weeks? I hoped we had stomped
on his ego enough to dissuade him/her, but maybe he was locked up in
some psychotic (sp?) rehab center for that welcome breather spell.

hehehe...that's funny, but no such luck! I too noticed that I had no
messages blocked for days, when usually I have anywhere from 10 to 50 or
so that are blocked, all from that nut case.
I guess he's too stupid to get it.

The OP's post has gone from my computer, so I have hijacked measekite's
reply.

To Home theatre guy:

Canon does have an A3 printer that prints CD/DVDs, the i9950, an 8-tank
printer, no chips, refillable carts, and new unused 3rd-party carts are
available if you want to set up a CIS. I have one; it produces stunning
prints, often at club exhibits they are mistaken for wet process prints,
and people don't believe they are inkjets. Not a cheap printer, about a
grand when I bought mine.
