Hi wondering if anyone's seen this - REALLY odd:
I have an A-Tek radeon 9100 128mb DDR (card, not the IGP version) -
latest catalyst drivers (3.10), latest XP patches etc. On Call of Duty I
notice that on any level that uses the pixel shader effects in openGL (which
isn't all of them, but usually most of the SP levels and some of the MP
levels that have water effects etc..) the texture filtering appears to
disable itself; i.e. no bilinear or trilinear effect, just jagged unsmoothed
"raw" textures... The game speed is slightly effected due to this, I lose
about 20-30 fps on SP levels and about 10fps on MP levels. When i edit the
video config in CoD and change a value and reenter the game, the textures
are fixed for some time until i come across more pixel shader effects on
screen and then the textures "snap back" to their jagged unfiltered states
again. This only seems to happen in Call of Duty since I upgraded the video
drivers, however ive tried older releases of the catalyst (3.7, 3.8) and
nothing seems to fix it!
Any ideas anyone? This is annoying me.
