Hi all ,

I am not sure able this , is there a way for me to log
every successful and unsuccessful access to the network.
My client is using Cisco VPN client to connect to the
network. There is a communication between my Win2k IAS and
my pix firewall .
How do I get all the loggin done ?
At the same time does the IAS log get overwritten each
time ?
Please reply me ... thanks..........

Please read the IAS Help topics in the "Remote Access Logging" section in

Well that response was no help. When you open IAS there is a remote
access logging. Click that, on the right side of the window, right
lick the local file option then properties. You will see all of the
options you have for logging and where to go to view the log file. It
is a comma separated value file and best viewed in Excel. Hope this
is some good help.

Actually there are three methods of logging in IAS -- far too much material
to cover in a brief newsgroup post -- so reading the Help to make an
informed decision on the method to use will be -- well, helpful. :-)

The formats you can choose from are database-compatible, IAS format, and
SQL Server Logging format (if you are running IAS in Windows Server 2003).

The Help also provides information on how to interpret the log files once
you have successfully configured your logging solution.
