Pivottable - stock

Hi

Is it possible to do the folliwng in excel using pivot tables. I have data
from a slaughterhouse. It consists of: date; body part; sold; purchased. Is
it possible to have a pivot table presneting: body parts in columns, date in
rows as well as opening balance, total sold, total purchased and closing
balance for particular day. I don't know how to calculate opening balance
that includes closing balance from previous days? Any idea?

First create a data sheet for the pivot table with DATE, BODY
PART,SOLD,PURCHASED, OPENING BALANCE in seperate columns

You need seperate rows for each part for each column (if there is a
value )

Then highlight the data and choose Data | PivotTable

Thanks for responce. I know how to create a pivottable. My question is not
about it.
I'm asking if it's possible to have pivottable with a calculated item that
calculates stock using calculated field, that takes, for a specific day, the
closing stock (calculated item) from previous day adds purchases and
subtracts any sales for the day - calculating the closing stock for a
specific day.
The question realy is - can one calculated item reference another's result.
