Pivot Table Filters

Alex Mackenzie

When using the drop down on a column field to filter data in the pivot table,
I find items in the list that are no longer in my data (the data was messy
when I started and have now cleaned up the errors, but the erroneous names
remain). I tried dragging the particular field out of the pivot table and
refreshing the data, but the names still remain when I replace the field in
the pivot table. Is there another way to clean this up; I am using Excel
2000.

Thank you.

Hi,

1. Drag the field in question off the pivot table.
2. Refresh the pivot Table
3. Drag the field back onto the pivot table.
