I have a pivot table that is doing something strange. When I double
click a data point in the table, to bring through on a new spreadsheet
the relevant data to to that clicked through data point, all of the
numbers (in every column which contains numbers) on the new worksheet
are formatted as dollars, even though on the original worksheet
containing the data, those numbers are not formatted as dollars, but
rather formatted as general.
The data in the pivot table are not formatted as dollars.
The source data are not formatted as dollars (except for just one
column).
Why would the click through data on the new sheet be formatted as
dollars?
It was not doing this last night, but when I turn on my computer this
morning suddenly it has started doing this.
I tried to fix this myself. I copied the pivot table to a new
workbook. And then inserted a back up of the source data that I had
created a few days before - long before this formatting issue started.
But no the same issue occurs in that workbook too.
Could there some setting that I am unaware of that I have
accidentally applied?
