How do I chart an Excel pivot table in PowerPoint with
noncontiguous selections?

I don't think PPT will chart pivot tables. Do your charting in Excel,
then copy the chart and paste (or paste link) it into PPT.

Echo,
Actually, Pivot tables/Pivot charts will work in PPT. Brad Dunzer had
some sample instructions from MS in PPT 2000 beta but I've lost it and
can't recreate it.

We should all look it up in the MSKB when you get a chance or google
it (g). I'd get Naresh to do an example but I've got him buried in
other issues right now. (g)

Really?

It makes sense if you just copy the pivot table data over to MS Graph,
sure. But for anything more extensive than that, well...

Ah, I already KB'd it, heh. Nada there.

Checking Google groups gives me all of 7 hits. :-)
http://tinyurl.com/m668 Excel MVP Tushar says, "Create it in XL and link
it into PP. Or embed an XL object into PP and use it to create the
chart." Shyam said the same. When that's what those two tell me, it's
good enough for me. <G>

Actually, in that thread you mentioned Brad and an ActiveX control. That
prompted Tushar, and he actually got it to work! So maybe that tinyurl
to the Google thread will help the original poster.
