Pivot Charts don't work on all Computers

Access 2002 all SR's
I have an Access front end linked to an Access backend,
both in the same directory on a network. However, the
problem occurs if the front end/backend are on the C:
drive of the "faulty" computers.
Can create a Pivot chart on any computer, running Win2000
Pro or Win XP. On some computers, the pivot chart works
fine. I can go into a drop down box on the chart,
select/deselect, close the program, open again,
select/deselect etc.
On other computers, I can create the first part of the
chart, but as soon as I try to drag a field to a drop
position, a black circle with a horizontal line appears
and at times a message comes up telling me I don't have
rights to create this.
If I have created the Pivot Chart on a "good" computer and
then open it on a "faulty" computer, I can make one
selection/deselection, then the cart freezes and can do no
more. Opening this on a "good" computer and the chart is
still frozen. Frustration.
This is seems to be something to do with rights and
accessibility to do this particular process, but I have no
idea what? All other Access features seem to work OK on
the "faulty" computers.
I have listed this problem on "Woody's Acccess Watch" and
on the "UtterAccess" forums. Several other people have
listed the same problem but no one seems to have resolved
it.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

You are not crazy! This is happening to me and I cannot find anyone who knows a thing about it.

Thanks,
John
