I am getting users who's Xp SP1 machines at startup do
not see the network. In the event log I find error 7000.
The pipe state is invalid for just about every service.
If I manually disconnect the drives, turn the machine off
and then turn it back on it finds the network, the log on
scripts run and every thing is happy. Anyone know who to
solve this.

While listening to the voices in their head blather on endlessly about
inspecific gibberish, John B typed:

Same problem here right after applying SP1a for Windows XP. The machines
experiencing this problem here are able to access the internet, AS400, and
email, every network resource except mapping a network drive. I can run the
file server share, just can't map it until the machine is rebooted. I did
find this article and plan to try it, but not sure if it will help. If you
or anyone else gets any new info, please help. Thanks.
