I don't know if this is the right place for this query but
i need help.

I am trying to get started in using my camera to make
movies that i can save/burn to a dvd. I have tried using
pinnacle studio but every time the rendering stops the pc
reboots and its a little annoying to say the least. Has
anyone been faced with this problem. I have been told it
might be a virus, it could be that im using an external
maxtor drive or it might be my pc configuration.

Is there anyone out there who could either answer my query
or at least point me in the rightish direction.

It will not be a virus. That is the number one answer from folks who have
no idea what it is. 9.4 is out and may aid, but chances are that it is a
video driver first, an audio driver second, or some possibly a secondary
driver related to your external drive.
