Ok, I have looked everywhere to find this out and cant
find the anwser. Im sure someone here can help.

I recently setup DNS at my company. We have company.com
as the root domain and these are child domains;
one.company.com and two.company.com.

When I ping from a client on company.com to a client
on either sub-domain, do I have to put in the FQDN
of the other client.

I know I can setup DNS suffix for each domain I want
to access, and this works ok. But can this be done via
DHCP?

Or am I missing something else?

On a windows 2000 server if you have different scopes set
up for each domain you can add a scope option to put the
FQDN on the tail of their names..

Unfortunately Option 015 will only allow one suffix. The only other
suggestion is to script this so it will be added to all your clients.
