someone keeps pingging my computer? What does that mean?
My firewall keeps poping up with a message saying somene
just pinged my coputer or is trying to gain accsess
through one of my ports what do I do? PLEASE REPLY LOST

I would suggest turning off the notifications in your
firewall. People get pinged and probed all day long.
It's nothing unusal. It's great that you are running a
firewall for protection. Just sit back, relax, and let
your firewall do it's job protecting you or you will go
nuts worrying about all of the probes.

If you really feel the need to follow up on your
concerns, you might want to direct those concerns in a
newsgroup for firewalls.

Put your firewall in stealth mode and your ports will be invisible. With
nothing to ping, you won't be bothered any more.
