Hi Susan,

Not sure you saw this, but the idea of a "Hall of Fame" for
Pricelessware items that have been inducted 5 times or greater has been
suggested.

Was wondering what you think of this and if maybe you'd like to like to
maybe run it through the a.c.f. paces?

Thanks,
-Garrett

Hi Garrett,

I think we should have a discussion about the annual lists first - make
sure there is agreement - and post the "final" lists for future reference.

IMO the *first* Pricelessware List is PL2000 - aince the Pricelessware
name was first suggested in mid-December 1999.

I'll post my list for each year and/or a combined list. The combined
list contains 589 names so I thought I'd ask for your preference
*before* posting. You can do the same or compare your lists to mine and
tell me where we differ.

The cumulative list presents one additional item for consideration:
which programs are truly sucessor programs?

Let's get the lists into agreement and then move on to the "Hall of
Fame" discussion.

I'll try to remember to bring up after December, unless someone else
beats me to it.

Once identified, (after the 2005 vote?) it will be good to archive the programs
to provide a stable link. I have the space, and bandwidth for nominal sized
programs. Open Office sized programs might present a bandwidth problem though.
Or, maybe many of us can archive them and get a great spread on them.

I'll try to archive them either way the project goes. I think many will be using
98/98SE for years to come and it's a shame to see good programs slip through the
cracks. The larger archives might keep these, or move on to newer, possibly
crippled, or shareware versions. The smaller archives, well, it can be hit and
miss as far as depending on a download source.

I think that's a good idea. I'd be willing also to provide space. :)
