Hi Susan,

Please update Ad-Aware 6 description to reflect the fact that it does
not support Windows 95. You have it as Windows 9x at the moment.

That was based on a thread last February:

Subject: Re: Ad-aware 6 - works on Win95a - FYI

It was confusing where it was - I changed the description - took 95 out
of the OS info and added it to the NOTE.

Okay. I Googled for the thread to which you refer and found that it
contained only a single post. I'll assume that there was more
discussion (x-n-a'd, obviously) on which you base that assessment.

I can neither confirm, nor deny, that Ad-Aware 6 works with Win95, as I
do not have that OS. It was brought to my attention by a friend whom I
had pointed to the Lavasoft web site. He didn't bother installing it.

Maybe I should suggest he try it (but only after I hear more
confirmation that others are running it without difficulty).

It it were me, I would install it and give it a whirl. It's so easy
to uninstall. This may be of interest:

I prefer to trust the author's site with compatibility questions.

But, yeah, I searched around a bit and found this:
