Want to create an Employee of Month certificate with Comp name
"crowned" across top of page but Word Art looks funky dropping the
first and last letter at an angle.

Looking for better (alternative) ways to smooth out the arc.

Any input MOST appreciated! :)

Thanks all.

If you value your employees enough to award certificates, then surely you
can spend the relatively small extra sum on Microsoft Publisher which makes
producing certificates a breeze from a variety of samples?

I do and have the program, Graham but darned if WordArt is also the
only way I've found to *arc* the first line. An alternative perhaps?

Thanks for the input.

I create a lot of certificates of this nature, and I have found that the
trick is to (a) use the correct arc: Arch Up (Curve) rather than Arch Up
(Pour), and (b) add spaces before and after the text to get a steeper arc
while keeping the text in a small segment of it.

Seems I should have stayed in bed today, but Suzanne has got the measure of
this one for you ;)

I should have added, though, that I create the certificates in Publisher. I
would imagine that the WordArt object would behave the same in Word,
however.

Thanks Suzanne. Will try that. Fairhope! Wow. I used to live in
Daphne back in 1985-89. Was there for Elena. Worked at Wizard104.

Thanks again,

Wasn't Elena the one that couldn't make up its mind where it wanted to go?
Or came back more than once? No such ambivalence about Ivan!

Gulfport tp Port St. Jo.

Hope all is getting better there.

Yeah, we're just about back to normal. City says all the debris should be
picked up by 10/31.
