So when did Torvalds come up with the idea? Yeah, he posted in 1991 but
who knows when he thought of it? I just thought that the casual nature of
the post (by Torvalds) was interesting considering what has become of
linux. I'm sorry you don't like my sig, but don't worry, I'll change it to
something else soon enough.

It doesn't matter if he thought of it in 1978, it's the quote that 'circa
1991' applies to in your sig, not what may or may not have been in Linus'
brain and when. You should replace the 'circa' with "25th August 1991".
