I'd like to make a suggestion. I'd like to see Defender add it's own entry
into the event viewer. Like the way Internet Explorer beta 7 does. This
would remove defender entries from under the System branch and give Defender
it's own area to add alerts. It would also make it simpler to sort though.
Thanks, just a suggestion, but one I'd like to see.

FWIW, you can actually do this yourself. I've done this--made the filtered
view a separately listed line. Now--how did I do that??

I can't recall a quick step by step, but the info here:

is probably more than sufficient to make you able to duplicate what I've
done. As I recall I needed to go to author mode and save the changed
console--hint, while experimenting, it might be best to choose a different
name than the standard console name. I chose the standard name-I see my
entry when I run eventvwr.msc explicitly, but not, for example, in My
Computer, manage.
