John:

New to the wmm world so please bear with me.

Is there a way to save a wmm file as an mpeg or avi on a CD so that I can
play it on a CD/DVD player?

Is it possible?

I don't have a DVD burner.

Thanks

Wendy

NO..it will only save as a .avi file for burning with a CDR-RW disk and play
it as a VCD on ur cd/dvd player

Hello,

I have no idea where the message is that you have replied too...I am
pretty sure I have never seen it.

However, the answer is YES, but not with Movie Maker. There are many
VCD/SVCD programs around that can do it....Nero is one such program. Take a
wander down to your local computer store and ask to see the programs that
will make a vcd or svcd (Make certain which of those two options your home
DVD player can handle.

What occurs when you use one of these program is the DV-AVI you created
with Movie Maker is converted to an MPeg file. MPeg is the format used on
VCD and SVCD. Mpeg is a highly compressed file and consequently takes up a
smaller amount of space.
