Dave, thanks for the tip on the hard drive. I bought it but not from
mwave, zipzoomfly had the same drive, same price, with free shipping.
Matter of fact, zipzoomfly has almost everything with free shipping right
now.

Never heard of them. Might have to check them out, getting ready to order a
whole system (in parts) for a friend. -Dave

They were Google Gear before the name change and also a change of owners I
believe. ZipZoomFly is very reliable and super fast on orders. I've order
three or four things from them. As I understand their reseller ratings are
very good.

Well I might have to try them sometime, but not for this system. I spec'd
out all the same components I'd chosen earlier. The total price was higher
than newegg before shipping. Zipzoomfly appeared to offer free shipping on
all but two items. But, when I ran the shipping calculator, the shipping
charge was higher than newegg in spite of most of the items being free
shipping. Looks like newegg will get my business this time around. I can
see where zipzoomfly would be a good idea for some components though, if you
wanted to do an upgrade (as opposed to a whole system built from nothing).
If I only needed a few components, it is likely that zipzoomfly would have
free shipping on all of them. And with their prices close to newegg, free
shipping is a pretty good deal. -Dave

2 day free shipping at that. Zipzoomfly is highly taughted by the TechTV
folks. This is the first time I've used them, they are usually about the
same price as newegg, who have always done right by me; but this time zip
had the best deal so I gave 'em a shot.

Another thing I noticed about zipzoomfly is that their selection isn't
nearly as good as mwave or newegg. But they do have some decent deals on
what they do carry. -Dave
