As you seem to be the only brasilian regular in this newsgroup, and I read
you where trying to turn to Linux, this link might be interesting for you.

http://www.freedows.com/

It's based on Fedora and claims to be 100% compatible with Windows.
The Lite-version is freeware.
I tried to download the iso, but failed so far, I think due to max.
conections.
Also my portugese is a bit rusty :)

I've read about Freedows but never tried it, thanks for the link.

|3iff //ullins is, and always will be:
whoopie. a crippleware os in some third-world language!! wow!! :/~~

Freedows is mainly meant for companies looking to use Linux without
having to do specific training for users.

The applications on it have been modified to look more like Windows.
(i.e. Mozilla looks rather like IE, OpenOffice looks like Office). Others
were renamed (e.g. XMMS [?] turned into Freedows Audio)

Windows support (available only on the $$$ versions) is made via WINE and
CrossOver Office -- intended for companies that have MS-Office (and other
commercial programs) licenses.

Never tried the lite version, but it looks rather limited. So, not free -
rather, crippleware - even more so considering there are various Linux
distros aimed at Brazilians.

Thank you for your explanation on Freedows.
It looked very promising.
I'll give up my efforts to download it.
Thanks again.
