Bob,

I guess it was the last security update, but I get message boxes
constantly now when I use IE stating that "Revocation information for
the security certificate is not available. Do you want to proceed?"

This comes up numerous times when I use IE and so far I have found no
setting to disable this particular check. I only use IE when
registering for classes really. I use Avant otherwise.

Do you happen to know how I can safely stop this check and message
box? Sometimes there are 10-12 message boxes on top of each other and
it requires that many clicks to proceed to the next round.

Thanks in advance!

Tools > Internet Options > Avanced

Scroll down to the security section and untick "Check for publishers
certificate revocation" and untick "Check for server certificate revocation"

Cousin REM ....

You might try ....

Internet Options .... Advanced Tab ....

Scroll Down to .... Security .....

[] Check for Publisher's Certificate revocation
[] Check for server certificate revocation

This works for Win98, but I don't know about other Win flavors ....

That's it. Thanks very much Cousin Stanley!

I looked under the security tab and not the advanced/security.
