ping a server from PPC

I have a piece of code which can ping server from PPC

but it only works for PPC2003
how I update the codes so that it can work for ppc2002 as well

The component (iphlpapi.dll) used to issue ping requests does not exist in
PPC2002. Due to the relative complexity of the protocol it would be hard to
implement it in managed code. Of course there are implementations in C++
using sockets, so you are welcome to try that
