Pie in pie, but how to NOT show the sub-pie?

I want a pie chart that just summarizes a set of small-value categorie
into "OTHER" but without a separate pie chart. In other words, the pi
chart shows the top three values as separate slices, and then lumps th
remaining in the OTHER slice. Pie-in-pie works, but I don't want th
second pie chart that details the OTHER slice.

Ideas

Hi,

The easy way would be to create a dummy set of data in another column,
where you summarize the OTHER slice.

But if you want to do it via pie-of-pie try this.
Create you chart and put the correct OTHER slices in the second Pie.
Adjust the following
Set Pattern and Border to none for all slices in second pie.
Via the option tab whilst formating the second pie
Gap Width = 0
Size of Second pie = 5
Remove Series Lines

Reposition plot area.

I like the sound of this option better. Can you elaborate? Would ther
be a way to make it dynamic, so as data is modified, those value
falling under a certain percentage would fall under the OTHER slice

Grr, I just read that and it makes no sense. Let me elaborate.

I have two columns: one is a text description of the name of an event
and the other is the number of times the event occurs. I want the pi
chart to only show the events with, say, 5 or more incidents a
separate slices, with anything under 5 being collected together unde
the OTHER slice. The individual slices would be named according to th
first column's text.

There, that sounds better.

Thank

Have a look at this worked example.
