Question - I am trying to create a Pie Chart in Access,
but I'm having big trouble. I go through all the proper
motions, even the preview of my chart looks terrific, but
when I click on "finish" a chart pops up with data that I
don't even have in my Database.
If you know what I'm doing wrong - please help!
Thanks
JJ

In the DesignView of your Form, select the ObjectFrame for
your Pie Chart and check the RowSource Property of the
ObjectFrame. You probably need to modify the RowSource
Query to select the right set of data for your Pie Chart.

Thanks Van!

I did go into Properties and checked out the row source -
it looks good.
I'm at a complete loss!

I could send you a copy of my database - but I can't
attach a file here - and I can't email you directly.

What I'm trying to accomplish is to chart (in a pie
chart) parts of the body injured (eye, leg, finger etc)-
once it charts the info I want, I'm going to want to be
able to look at specific time frames - eg the month of
March.

But....

What really confuses me is that when I preview my Chart -
it's perfect, and sometimes when I look at the chart in
regular/print view it reflects the proper data - but in
design view it's wrong. I totally don't get it!

Hopefully what I'm trying to describe to you makes
sense. If you have time - your help would be greatly
appreciated.

Again thanks for getting back to me.

I think that means that your Chart is correct.

In the DesignView, because there is no data obtained as yet (the Query has
not been executed!), MS Graphs normally shows some sample data only, NOT
your data.

When you open the normal View / Print Preview of the Form / Report (where
the Chart is in) , the Chart is correct, isn't it?
