pid number

I am trying to reload windows xp it ask me for a pid
number, i can't get inot my computer to get it.. what do i
d to get the number or move on .. thanks

Lerry,

If you are reinstalling Windows XP then you are looking for the Product Key.
This is on the back of the retail package cardboard sleeve the CD came in.
If you have an OEM copy then it is either on a sticker affixed to the PC or
is/was on a sticker on the outside of the shrink wrap that the CD was
packaged in.
