I want the dim a picture (jpeg) i set as background for
the pages. So that I can write or put other pictures on
top of it. I want the picture to be dimmed and just be
used as my template at the background. How can I do this?
I can set the pic as background but I dont know how to
dim it??? please help

Hi,

On the Picture toolbar is a setting for "Watermark". That should dim the
picture if you do it while the picture is selected. But it won't work if the
picture is a background. You would have to place the picture full screen on
a slide and send it to the back. Draw button| Order| Send to back.

Or place the JPG on the slide master using Insert/Picture/From File and
use the watermark tool on it.

I think what you're saying is that the watermark won't work if the user
inserts the JPG using Format/Background/Fill Effects/Picture, right?

You can also place a colored rectangle over the top of the picture and set
it to a transparent gray. This will fade down the picture so that the other
items can be seen better.
