I have used Froitpage2002 to design our website www.casaresreal.com. The
problem is the photgallery. When one clicks on a thumbnail the picture is too
large for the page initially until it eventually resolves itself to fit
(although a couple of users have reported the picture did not resolve). How
can I stop this happening so that the picture is always viewable?

Prepare your images properly beofre using them in a photogallery. That means
crop, resize and optimize before IMPORTin them into an images folder with
the site. Then you can make a properly acting gallery. This will help:

I think I know the thing you mean - it's a feature of IE 5.0/5.5/6.0. IE
resizes the pic if it is set to do so - other browsers might not have this
or similar feature.

You need to make sure the picture is the size you want it to be in the first
place. - resize it in your image editor, not on Frontpage.
