Is it possible to use Windows Movie Maker to make a movie using scanned photographs? I'd like to do this with some old movies to view on a DVD player. I gave it a try with no success in viewing on my DVD.

Hi, yes you can do it.....I did it after seeing the Mexico & France videos on the-kellys.co.uk. Movie Maker can not make a dvd you need to get some software for that..i found it easy to d

Hello there,

The pictures were scanned using an FS2710 dedicated film scanner at maximum
resolution 2,700 dpi and then reduced in size by cropping to the right size
and then imported to Movie Maker. Some of them could not be edited so as to
fill the complete screen, That's because they were too close to the camera
and whoever took the pictures did it in Portrait mode. To have edited them
so that they filled the screen would not have worked well.

The Mexico video seems to have gone for a walk, it should be on the web
site...I will have to find out what's gone wrong there, thanks for pointing
that out.

Hello there Gripper ?? :)

The original was used to make a dvd. What you are watching was reduced in
size either by Windows Media Encoder or Movie Maker...I can't remember now.
Its a simple enough process and provided the original is of good quality
then the cut down version is usualy good as well. It rather depends on how
much you do in the way of cutting it down...too much and you end up with a
disgusting mess. :)
