Once you create the presentation in WMM it will run from DVD you will have
to burn it to the DVD and who ever wants to look at it must have at least
Windows Media Player. I guess if they wanted more control they would have to
have WMM on the machine that is running the presentation. There is some
amount of control in Windows Media Player.

Movie Maker itself can't create a DVD.
If you have an MCE (Media Center Edition) PC then you do have a "Burn to
DVD" option that makes life easier for the computer novice but I rarely if
ever recommend using it because it creates coasters from blank DVD's quite
often and if you do get a DVD that works it may or may not be the result you
actually wanted.
Instead I recommend saving your movie project to your harddrive as a DV-AVI
(or High Quality NTSC if you are only working with still images and audio)
so you can make sure the project actually saves properly and preview the
actual finished product in your media player to see if the quality is what
you want.
If you like the results then you import the video into a DVD Authoring
program (such as Ulead Movie Factory or Sonic's MyDVD) to create a DVD video
for you that plays on a standard DVD player. If you only want to play it on
a computer from DVD then you can simply use Nero or some other Data DVD
creating software (one comes with ALL computer's that have a DVD Burner) to
copy the AVI or WMV file to it. Then it will play on a computer as a video
file but will NOT play in a DVD player.
See my website for more details about saving to your harddrive as well as
quite a few of the most popular DVD Authoring programs.

I guess it was kind of an unhelpful post I didn't read it all the way.
Anyway maybe this will help out. It's a link more related to what you were
wanting to do. Writen by some Microsoft guy

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/expert/bridgman_burndvd.mspx

hope this helps more.
