Pictures partly shown in IE6

When I surf with IE6 using a 56K modem pictures stop downloading after a
while. When browser stops I can only see heads and part of the pictures. I
have seen this problem with jpg-files, but fault can be for all formats but
not verified.

Does it help to empty the cache and the History folder?
