Steve

I am a relativley new PP user. I have put together a
presentation for a friend to use tonight in church. All
the slides are pictures only. My problem is that I insert
the picture into the slide but when I view it as a slide
show the picture is cut off on both sides. Any
suggestions?

When you insert the picture, are you keeping it within the margins of the
page (the white part)? Many pictures are very high queality, and are bigger
than the actual page. Also what version are you using?

Try to grab a corner and pull it towards the middle of the
photo It takes a few tries but should work

To resize a picture, first paste it into PowerPoint.
Once the picture is in PowerPoint, click the left mouse buttom once with the
cursor over the picture - you will see six circles on the edges and at each
corner.
Now drift the cursor over the circle in the bottom right corner until you
see a double-headed arrow.
If you want to keep the Aspect Ratio (the ratio of length to width) the
same, hold down the SHIFT key and keep holding it down.
Now hold down the left mouse button and drag the corner - you will see the
picture resizing; release the mouse button when the size is OK.
Let go of the SHIFT key (if used) and the mouse button.
Click somewhere else on the slide other than the picture to get rid of the
circles.

If instead of dragging the corner in the sequence above you drag from one of
the circles on the edges, then you just resize the length or width instead of
the whole picture.

If you make a mistake, just hit [Edit]->]Undo] as many times as you need.

I hope this helps - good luck.
