Pictures in excel do not display

Hi,
I have a few excel file in a folder and pictures (jPeg)
in another. These files display the pictures. Both the
files and pictures have been copied to a cd, the loaded
on to another PC. The probles is that I cannot get the
pictures to display in the opened files. All I see in
place of the picture is a box with a cross.
What is wrong? Do I need jave ?
