pictures from windows me to windows xp

If I put windows XP full version on my computer, will the pictures that I have saved in my pictures file still be there or will I lose them? I am now running windows ME

If you are doing an upgrade your pictures will be fine. If you are going
reformat and install XP then you will need to back up all your documents. I
recommend you make back up copies whether you are upgrading or not just
incase something should happen to go wrong.
