I have a cd with pictures on it (I know for sure that the pictures are on
there - I have viewed them on another computer) but when I insert the CD, it
says there is no data at all on the cd. I have uninstalled and reinstalled
the driver, and tried opening the cd with other photo programs, but can not
get it to work. The driver recognizes that there is something in it, but it
doesn't display anything.

Sometimes this occurs if the disk was not
finalized when originally burned.

Maybe the following program would be worth a try:

ISO Buster

CD readers do suffer from failing lasers. You may fine a reader will
read some CDs but not others. I think you are saying that you can
read your problem CD in another computer but not yours. If this is
the case, I suggest you buy a new CD / DVD reader, they are very low
cost these days.
