pictures does not appear on screen

I tried to insert a picture into my video but on the
timeline it looks all right, but in the preview screen,
it appeared as a black image. even when i exported it out.

I have turned off system restore.. is there anyother way?

what format was the picture?

does it happen to all pictures, or just that one?

Not knowing the above answers, all I can think of to suggest is to try
resaving the picture in a different format and import it again.
