Maybe you are using one of the high speed
dial up services...lower quality graphic display
is one of the tricks they use.

Are you saying you have Cable or DSL?

If yes, it may be worth a try to update your video driver.

just old fashion dial up... computer is less than a year old, didn't think
i'd have to
update anything yet... thought there'd be an internet setting or something
to change.

Well...okay, the issue is exactly what I
told you in the first place. If you want higher
speed on a dialup connection...something
has to be compressed.

If you want best graphics and high speed,
you'll have to move up to DSL or Cable.

Maybe the following info will clarify:
=====
=====
How does NetZero HiSpeed work?

Data Compression and Image Optimization -
Before the text and graphics that make up
Web pages get sent to you over your phone
line, NetZero HiSpeed compresses them
using a proprietary technology. Less data
is sent so your surfing experience is that
much faster!
=====
=====
AT&T Worldnet Accelerator delivers text
and graphics more efficiently, using a
proprietary compression technology that
significantly reduces the size of Web pages
and page elements sent to your browser.

The technology compresses text and
graphics enabling users to load web pages
much more quickly than is traditionally
possible over an ordinary dial-up connection.

OK....I totally misunderstood your answer.

If you are on regular MSN dialup, you should
be able to view clear images on the net.

And...also is your screen resolution the same
as your daughter's? Are the monitors the same?

Can you post a link to one of the sites where
you are seeing fuzzy images?

I wonder if the following articles would offer
some ideas:

I can't see JPG's or GIFS any more:

that'll probably do it, the article you suggested... I have a flat screen,
she doesn't
the DPI issue may be the culprit... I'll print that off and try it out.
thanks!
