David

I am having trouble inporting a picture into my electronic signature for
mail. I have Vista Ultimate. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, David

I have a Plaxo signature card with my photo and I was having a problem
putting my photo in. Below is what the Plaxo guy that helped me said. I
don't know if it will help you or not. I have Windows Vista. (But now all
of a sudden when I send an email, my picture is not there but just a box with
an x. It was working before!!!!!)

I would like to inform you that the issue you are experiencing may occur if
the size of your photo is more than 50 KB. Please note that the size of your
photo should be less than 50 KB to put it in your Plaxo signature.

I suggest you use the picture editing software like MS Paint, Adobe
Photoshop etc.. to re-size your photo and then put it into your Plaxo
signature. Please perform the following steps to resize your photo by using
the Microsoft Paint:

1. Click on the Windows “Start†button of your computer

2. Click on “Programsâ€

3. Click on “Accessoriesâ€

4. Click on “Paintâ€

5. Click on “Fileâ€

6. Click on “Openâ€

7. Select your photo file and click on “Openâ€

8. Click on the “Image†menu

9. Choose “Stretch/Skew…â€

10. Under “Stretch†section, enter a number, which is less than 100 in the
field corresponding to “horizontalâ€â€™ and “vertical†to reduce the size of
your photo

6. Click on “Fileâ€

7. Choose “Save Asâ€, and under “Save as type:†section, JPEG (*.JPG, *.JPEG,
*.JPE, *.JFIF) and save the file into your computer

After reducing the size of your photo to less than 50 KB, please perform the
following steps to enable your Plaxo signature with your photo on it:

1. Launch your e-mail client (Outlook or, Outlook Express)

2. Click on “Plaxo†button, which is present on the Plaxo Toolbar

3. Click on “Toolsâ€

4. Click on “E-mail Signatureâ€, then a new window will pop up

5. In this window, in the field corresponding to “Style†select Photo
(business information) or Photo (Personal information) style

6. Click on “Photoâ€

7. Click on “Browse†and select the picture file and click on “OKâ€

Note: The size of your photo file should be less than 50 KB.

8. Click on “Enable Signatureâ€

9. Close your e-mail client and restart it

I would appreciate your letting me know, if the solution provided by us
helped you.

Katherine, as one of our esteemed customer, your satisfaction is our primary
concern. Please feel free to contact us, if you have any further inquiries
regarding your Plaxo account.

Have a nice day!

Regards,

Allen

I've never been able to get this to work either in OE or Windows Mail. You
have to have a .txt file, so if you can figure out a way to save a photo
with a signature as a .txt file, you'll be in luck. Thunderbird, however,
handles this kind of signature [photo with signature] quite easily. Your
only alternative, that I've been able to find, is to manually insert your
signature each time.
