Holy SMOKES! I am a slow twit!
It just hit me that all those hundreds of files that are
overloadeing my TempInternet folder are all graphics
(.jpg;.gif;.bmp) that web sites are dumping on me every
time I visit a web page. Hundreds of them!
I've never seen anything like it.

I must have something set wrong, but I have no clue what.
I have tried everything short of drop-kicking my keyboard.
(yes, I have spybot & ad-aware running, yes, I have tried
some sites that some of you have suggested, yes, my
privacy and security settngs are maxed out, etc)

I would really appreciate some helpful advice b/c I am at
a loss and my browser is crashing my computer every
15minutes.

thanks again

What you are describing is normal.
What size do you have Temporary Internet Files set for? 50 MB is as big as
it should be for most people.

Thanks for your help Frank. I had it set to 40, then 80
now 120... hoping to solve the problem, it's not. Every 4
to 4 web pages thatI visit I have to go my IE locks up
until I go to the temp internet folder, delete the files
and then it works fine for another 3 or 4 pages. It's
getting to be very time consuming, not to mention
frustrating. None of this happened until I installed the
SP1, unfortunatley, uninstalling it for some reason didn't
stop the problem. I think I'm just going to get rid of the
ME version and go back to 98. ME sucks up too much RAM
anyway and since this is a small PII, I need to conserve
what little RAM I have(until I can afford a new computer,
which is hard to do on a starving student income). Thanks
for all your help.
