The texts I use to my pictures (the text that appear when putting the mouse
over the picture) are quite long so it is not possible to read it the short
moment it appears. For the moment the text pops up for about 4 sec. How to
prolong that time?

Frontpage 2003.

Thanks

Hans

You could create a layer and have this visible when the mouse is over the
picture using the behaviour wizard
Also set the picture hyperlink to :;javascript - so you get the hand pointer

Type your text into the layer

Just an idea :-)

Hello Joe,

Thanks for your answer. It was my SEO adviser who told me to add some text
to the pictures by using the Alt Text method to make the search engines
happy. I tried the tooltip in your exemple and it looks great, but if I use
it I must take away the Alt Text, othervise it looks messy. How does Google
react on that? Will it read the tooltip text in the same way as it reads
Alt?

Thanks

Hans

Hi Wayne,

Thank you for your answer, but I'm afriad it was too advanced to me because
I don't understand what you try to tell me :-) I am quite a beginner, I'm
afraid.

Regards

Thanks for a interesting article. The article is 3 years old so ; "The major
engines don't consider the contents of ALT text now, but that doesn't mean
they won't six months from now.". I don't know, but I think I will use a
shorter ALT text, just a few words, than what I do now and then add a
tooltip.
