Hello everyone,

Can someone tell me why when i send a normal sized picure
(jpeg) as an attachment when it is opened by the recipient
it is enormous ie more than 4 times larger than the screen

Thanks in advance

This depends on the resolution you and the receiver is using. You can see
what your resolution is in Control Panel-> Display Properties-> tab
Settings.

Like Roady said, it's the resolution. Resolution, on a monitor, equates to
size of the image, not quality of the image. So... if you send someone an
image that's 1024X768 and their monitor is set to view 800X600, the image
will be much larger than the monitor can view. Anyhow, it's all a little
mysterious and fun to learn about. Here's a great link which explains it

Hi Noel

Did you ever find out how to send a smaller picture size? I too have the same problem when I send a picture in Outlook Express, and would like to know how to send a smaller size

Thanks

Jerry

Ask in an Outlook Express forum. This is an Microsoft Office Outlook forum.

Outlook Express is family of Internet Explorer and Outlook of the Office
family.

Here is the link for the right forum

Good Luck!
