Picture Package to MM2.1

I have a Sony DVD Handycam203E and I want to use Movie Maker. I can download
the to the hard drive using the picture package software, but when I try to
import the clips into MM I get the following message

C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\My Documents\My Pictures\Picture
Package\'06_06_23_00\06062301.mpg could not be imported. An interface has too
many methods to fire events from

Any suggestions please?

Can't say I understood it all, but I managed to convert the files into AVI
using VirtualDubMod, and used them to succesfully make a movie. The
individual AVI files when palyed had a lot of lines through thm and didn't
always keep up with the audio in MM2 but the semi finished product looks good
so far.
