When I shut down my machine, just before is shuts down for a few seconds a
picture from one of my folders comes on. Same thing at start up. Don't know
how this happened but it has been so for a few weeks. Pic is of my house
being built. How can I get rid of this ?

Thanks,

TK

No, I never did. That is what is puzzling. Also, another problem, I cannot
start in Safe Mode. When I try I get a page and a half of file names on the
black screen then the blue screen comes up with a half page of print (none of
which makes sense to me) so I just hit the restart key. Then is starts up as
usual.

What do you think ?

Set this picture as your wallpaper
then reboot (or log off)
then set your desktop to be blank
then reboot (or log off)

Thanks Steve, I will give that a try.

Tried your suggestion, no change, the dumb picture is still there for a few
seconds when I log off and at start up. It occurs at start up just before my
regular wallpaper (the color green) comes on.

In that case, turn off/disable Active Desktop first, as it is "covering
up" the undesired picture, and then make the changes.
