Hi

I have 2 questions, I asked one earlier and didn't get an answer, maybe I
didn't give enough information.

1. If i allreafy have pictures on the timeline, how can I change the picture
duration for all of them or part of them.If i go to tools, then it changes
the duration but only for new pictures i put on th etimeline, not for the
pictures that are allready there.

2. When I put pictures in the timeline it looks as if i have a bug as I
cannot see the pictures if I click on the play button of the timeline. I can
see the pictures when they are on the collection window but not on the
timeline.

Thanks for your help.

Once they are in the timeline you can't automatically change their duration.
You have to manually do it by placing your mouse on the right side of the
image and dragging it to the length you want. Changing the setting only, as
you found out, changes the new images you add. So you can change the setting
then remove the images and then drag them to the timeline once again or
manually change them.

I just recently learned the likely cause of this problem. (Thanks Papajohn)
It is probably a DLL for Movie Maker that isn't registered.
See my website [Movie Maker -> Trouble Shooting -> "Bad installation of
Movie Maker"] for help on what DLL's to register and how to do it.

Hello

Thank you for your answer.

Problem 2 is not resolved. I did everything as you suggested on your
website. I have all the .dll and for the last 3 when i tried to register
them i got a message they weren't found.

I see you suggest to reinstall SP2 - but i installed so many updates since
then - is it OK to reinstall the SP2 ?

Well if the last 3 DLL files were missing that is almost certainly why your
having the problem.
Well yes it would still be ok to reinstall SP2 but you would have to
reinstall all updates since SP2 was installed.
Before doing that however check the C:/Windows/ServicePackFiles/i386 folder
to see if the DLL's are there or use the Windows XP Search function - "For
files or folders" and type in the filenames to see if they are anyplace on
your computer. If so then copy them to the Movie Maker directory and then
reregister them using the run command as you did before.

Hi Again,

I have all the dll's in the moviemaker directory - but when I run the run
command for the last 3 files I get an answer like this:
.....dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found.
This file cannot be registered.

Any ideas ?

Well this is definitely where the problem lies but unfortunately I don't
have a solution here except for uninstalling and reinstalling SP2 to
hopefully fix the broken installation of Movie Maker.
