Pics are big and crappy

This is my first time using Windows Movie Maker, and my first time making a
movie in general

But I've captured some pictures using the "print screen" key on my keyboard,
and cropped them so they're only like 3 inches tall

But whenever I import and add them to my video, it makes them either touch
side to side or top to bottom of my screen

It makes them look really big and crappy, you can see each individual pixel
lol

Is there anyway to change this??

I need help still, dont think just cause theres 3 posts my question has been
answered...

You started out with a screen capture that was likely 1024x768 or smaller.
Then, you cropped the result. Finally, the display software is expanding
them to fill the screen, and the result is a large low resolution picture.
Correct? A possibile solution is to merge the cropped picture with a
background, so that the background fills the unused space around the cropped
picture with black or a more suitable color. The result should be 1024x768
with the cropped picture in the middle. IRFAN VIEW may do most of what you
want.
