Recently my computer was getting slow, I thought it should be from the
ZoneAlarm's anti
virus so I installed McAfree Anti virus 2006 but it didn't give any
improvement so I uninstalled it and use the previous Zonalrm Security Suite
v. 7 with
antivirus. After that I got the problem of loading Windows. With blue screen
I cannot read thoroughly except these few words "......physical memory
dump....." because it restarted again. From safemode I did system restore
but had same problems. Then again from safe mode I unistalled ZoneAlarm
Security Suite v7. After restart I installed ZoneAlarm Security Suite v.6.5
and the problem has been solved. Now I am hesitate to install the ZoneAlarm
Security Suite v.7.

Here I am requesting your help to solve this problems. (OS is Windows XP
Professional SP II with the latest updates. Intel Pentium M 730 Processor
1.6 Ghz (centrino), 504 MB of RAM, Free disk space 9 GB.)

Regards,

Eman

ok,
this is a very
good sign as you
may agree as well.

safemode is basically
a pure windows operating
system. while in normal
mode, there are many other
softwares loaded and running
in addition to those window
system files.

lets take it one step at
a time so that it will
be easier to identify
the cause(s) of the issue.

one step i would take is to
clean the registry because
the uninstalls and reinstalls
of your software may have left
orphaned entries in the registry.

there are 2 freeware that
i use with confidence and
can help.

download and run a program
call eusing from:

http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm

then reboot and let me know
how the pc functions.

The problem has been solved. I found the problem, ZoneAlarm Security Suite 7 is conflicting with Spyware Doctor old version so I uninstalled Spyware Doctor and installed ZoneAlarm Security Suite 7. I scanned my registry with Registry Mechanic and repaired some problems too.

that's excellent.

you might still want
to use eusing as well
because different cleaners
look for different invalid keys/objects.

in regards to firewalls, use
Microsoft's built in firewall.
set it to maximize your protection.

general tab = 'don't allow exceptions'
exceptions tab = uncheck all except file/printer"
advance tab = only have one connection active
