Physical Drive Assignement

My system has two physical drives.
After installation of the operating
system(Windows 2000), for some reason
the O/S just 'sees' only one drive
"C:\".

Going into the BIOS, the two physical
drives are registered.

What should I do to be able to 'see'
the second drive "D:\".
