Anyone found a way yet, to use the music creator in PS3 in MM2 ,without
having to make and save the project in PS3 first?
I've made several projects in PS3, and moved the wmv file to MM2, nice. Wish
I could find a way to use the background music you can create in PS3 in some
of the projects created in MM2.
Any suggestions??

Or any other options??

Sure, PS3 creates the files in a temporary folder as you build the story...
just copy the music file from the temporary folder before it goes into a
saved project.

See the Photo Story 3 section of my website for the details...

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, Seems I spoke too soon. I am unable to locate any music file
in said folder. I only see it generated while saving the movie file. No
music file in the WP3 file after saving the project either.
My Windows folder is on my 'D' drive, instead of 'C'. So I have the temp
file there also. There is a temp file on 'c' in the same location, AFAICT,
it is empty all the time. I have a dual boot machine with 2 XP pro folders.
WPS is on the D partition.
I'm probably missing something obvious, very new to this.

Suddenly, PS3 started crashing whenever I clicked on 'preview' or
'transition' button. Read up on your site and renamed that divxaf.ax file
you mentioned and it fixed that. So thanks for that info and thanks for your
site.
I still must be doing something wrong though, can't find that music file
after previewing either. I put pics in and go to the create music part, ok
out of that after applying, then preview, then minimize and go to that .temp
folder. All I see is the .jpg's, nothing that looks like a sound file. Must
be missing something somewhere. Would it be a wave file or what??

You're right... I just checked. The narration files are saved as temporary
WAV files during project editing, but the computer generated background
music files aren't created until you save the story as a WMV file... they
are saved as WMA files (DMusic0.wma, DMusic10.wma, etc) in the temporary
folder.

Watch the progress steps as you generate the story. After the music files
are created hit the cancel button and the temporary WMA files will sit there
until you close PS3... copy them before closing, when PS3 deletes the
temporary files.
