I have completed a photostory of 300 photos, (in two different ways--with and
without music). When I try to 'build' the story, it goes through several
steps, then I get an error message:
Assert Failed
Executable: PhotoStory3.exe Pid aa8 Tid 9e8. Module QuickTime Source.dll,4
objects left active! At line 317 of D:\Program
Files\DXSDK9\Samples\C++\Direct Show\BaseClasses\dllentry.cpp
Continue? (Cancel to debug)

Help! I've spent a lot of time getting the photos in order, etc. and now I
can't finish!
Thanks for any suggestions.

Just some thoughts...because I've never seen
errors of this type before...maybe your project
is too large and complex.

Also if your source files are of several different
formats from several different locations that
may be a factor.

Photo Story 3 has a 300 photo limit but that
number is reduced if you use lots of Motion
Effects and Transitions.

If you have a .wp3 project file of your completed
project the following free utility can be used to
remove motion and transitions.

TweakPS
http://www.windowsphotostory.com/TweakPS

And I wonder why QuickTime is involved...
I think I would uninstall QuickTime just to
see if it was causing the issue.

Good luck.
